Orangina is a citrus carbonated beverage which is produced from orange, mandarin, lemon and grapefruit juices. The original origin of the drink was in France at a trade fair, but then began being marketed in Algeria by Leon Beton, a French Algerian. It was purchased and now is produced by Suntory as of 2009 worldwide, however, it has been manufactured and owned in the United States and Canada by the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group since 2006.
Originally concocted by a Spanish inventor, chemist by the name of Trigo from Valencia in 1933, Orangina was originally called "TriNaranjus" on the Spanish market., until 1962 when it was purchased and moved production to France. Not only famous for its delightful taste, the design on the bottle has set it apart from other like juices.
Orangina comes in an 8 oz bottle which is shaped like a pear that also has a texture that resembles the outer skin of an orange, or other citrus fruit peel.
