Lime Cordial - Drink Secrets

Lime Cordial

Cordially, Lime

While alcohol can be a great way to get rid of some of the stress in your life, and help take the edge off after a long day of work, if you are not able to mix the right cocktail, it may seem like you are forcing bug spray down your throat. Thankfully, lime cordial is one of the easiest cocktail mixers with which you are able to work, and it does not take a lot to turn straight alcohol into a delicious mixed drink you and your friends can easily enjoy.

Though it is simply a mixture of sugar, lime, and a neutral viscous potable liquid, such as water, it is very easy to utilize lime cordial in any different drink that you may be attempting to mix. The most popular cocktail using this lime mixer incorporates regular vodka. It still allows the drink to be strong and give you a buzz quite quickly, as is the reputation for vodka; however it removes much of the bitter taste and creates a sweet drink that increases in drinkability a great deal.

Beer and hop-brewed beverage companies are known for adding lime cordial, though very small amounts of it, into their drinks in order to appeal to the crowd that is seeking sweeter beer flavors. The most common brands that incorporate lime flavoring are those of a more tropical creation such as Corona, because the flavor of lime contributes more to the feeling of relaxation that is associated with drinking and residing on an island getaway.

However, just because it is very popular to add to alcoholic drinks, lime cordial is not made exclusively for alcohol. It is a great tool to have in your kitchen to help flavor grilled meats, vegetables, snacks, and desserts. It is exceptionally easy to create in your own home, all you need to do is mix the juice from several limes with sugar, and then add a small amount of boiling water to the mix in order to blend it more evenly.
